These style of homes share maintenance costs through a Homeowner's Association (HOA). Monthly fees average $300-$700 per month. Since each HOA is different, it is important to know what the HOA fees cover and which are the responsibility of the Homeowner. Complexes vary from type of amenities, parking, size, and regulations.
For example;, there are HOA's that have valet parking, security guards, a gated community, pools, a gym, recreational areas for community members, etc.
2-4 Units & Commercial
2-4 units are considered Residential Housing. A Homeonwer may live in one and collect rental income from the other units to help offset mortgage costs.
Properties having 5 units or more are considered commercial property and usually require a larger down payment.
